Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin wants no part of the comments made by linebacker Philip Wheeler Sunday after the team's 27-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Dolphins coach Joe Philbin brushes off Philip Wheeler’s comments
Philbin won’t create more controversy for his team.

After taking a 24-17 lead with less than 10 minutes left in the game, the Miami defense gave up 10 unanswered points, including the game-winning touchdown with just three seconds remaining. In the locker room following the game, Wheeler told reporters that while some of the blame for the loss falls on the players, the coaches need to accept responsibility as well. "It was 50 percent bad play call and 50 percent bad coverage," Wheeler stated, adding, "I feel like Aaron Rodgers figured us out towards the end. He knew we were in man-to-man and that I would have single coverage on the tight end."
Wheeler was in coverage on Andrew Quarless, who caught the game-winning touchdown from Rodgers.

Naturally, Philbin was asked about these comments Monday during his media availability. The usually affable coach refused to get into it:

Their only other win came over the Oakland Raiders, who fired their head coach following the game.
