Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions in the second half of yet another Washington loss on Sunday, but Jay Gruden isn't ready to make a change at quarterback quite yet. Gruden insisted that Cousins will start under center against the Tennessee Titans, according to the team.
Kirk Cousins will start against Titans, Jay Gruden says
Sorry, Colt McCoy fans, Cousins is the guy for at least another week.

Gruden's vote of confidence comes amid growing upheaval in the nation's capital over Cousins' up-and-down play since taking over for the injured Robert Griffin III in Week 2. After Cousins threw three picks in the fourth quarter against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, former Washington running back Brian Mitchell went so far as to suggest career backup and third-round washout Colt McCoy should take over.
In Cousins's four starts since RGIII went down with a dislocated ankle, Washington has gone 0-4 and Cousins has thrown eight touchdowns to eight interceptions. Sunday wasn't the first time he's thrown three picks in the span of single quarter, either -- he tossed three in the third quarter against the New York Giants two weeks ago to help turn what was once a close game into a 45-14 route.
Cousins was the most popular player in town while RGIII was struggling through his sophomore slump last year and a report early this season suggested that Gruden privately considered Cousins a better fit for his offense. But the turnover problems have Washington anticipating the return of the once-scorned Griffin. Gruden said Monday that RGIII will start individual drills next week could possibly see team reps in practice, according to John Keim of ESPN.
