The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals are fighting for an AFC North crown, but Torrey Smith proved the rivalry ends on the field. The Ravens receiver stepped up this week, purchasing a litany of Bengals Devon Still jerseys to support Leah Still, the defensive lineman's 4-year-old daughter who is battling cancer. Smith bought the apparel to support the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Leah's honor, per Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun.

The Ravens receiver made a special purchase to help the fight against childhood cancer.

Throughout the season, the Bengals have pledged to donate the money raised by the sales of Still's jerseys to the cause. To date, the donation has exceeded $1 million. Smith isn't the only NFL member to buy Still's jersey; earlier this year, head coaches Sean Payton and Chip Kelly made purchases, with Payton buying 100 jerseys. On Sunday Night Football, the New England Patriots cheerleaders wore his jersey in support of Leah.
For Smith, purchasing the jerseys was an easy decision, via the Baltimore Sun:
“He’s one of our brothers in this league, and any time I have the opportunity to support him, as well as any of the other kids in the country who are fighting childhood cancer, it’s something that if I can help, I will,” Smith said Wednesday.
Smith plans to give out the jerseys when he and the Ravens travel to Cincinnati for their rematch against the Bengals on Oct. 26.

“Even if I didn’t know him, it’s something I would have done,” Smith said. “It’s a great cause. It’s something that, obviously, I can’t personally relate to because it’s his daughter fighting for her life and she’s a very strong young lady. I have a young son, and I can only imagine what it’s like.”
