The band director of the University of Wisconsin is still waiting on a check promised to him by a bad mouthing NFL player.
Wisconsin band leader says Lions player never gave promised donation
Dominic Raiola promised a significant contribution to the University of Wisconsin band last year as part of an apology for verbally berating members at Lambeau Field. The band director said he still hasn’t seen a dime.

Director Mike Leckrone told News 3 of Madison, Wisc., that he hasn't received a cent from Dominic Raiola, the Detroit Lions center who pledged to make a significant contribution as part of an apology after he was caught verbally abusing band members at Lambeau Field last season.
“I guess I did expect it for a while, but as the days went by the expectations grew less,” Leckrone said. “As far as I’m concerned, it’s a done deal. I think from the very beginning our approach has been this was an incident that happened, and we’re moving on and we have since moved on.”
News 3 claims to have made multiple attempts to reach out to the Lions for comment but received no response.
Leckrone spoke to SB Nation after last October’s incident, saying that Raiola lashed out at band members during pre-game warmups with obscene and homophobic language. Leckrone added that they were “highly intimidated” by the 295-pound lineman.
The university later sent statements to both the Packers and Lions. The Lions admonished Raiola's actions as "extremely inconsistent with the standard of behavior we expect from our players and from every member of our organization."
Raiola initially waved the incident off as “blown way out of proportion.”
