The Green Bay Packers, one of the hottest teams in the NFL over the last three weeks, look for their fourth straight win as they welcome the Carolina Panthers into Lambeau. Fresh off the first tie game of 2014, the Panthers may need a win to stay ahead of the NFC South pack.

While Carolina sits atop the NFC South, its hold on first place remains tenuous. A porous defense has yielded an average of 34 points per game over the past four games. The falloff has largely been credited to the absence of suspended pass rusher Greg Hardy, but free agent losses Captain Munnerlyn and Mike Mitchell have hurt the secondary.

Though they've exited their last three games victorious, the Packers have put together only one complete team performance thus far, a 42-10 trouncing of the Vikings on Thursday Night Football. Last week against the Dolphins, Green Bay struggled to move the sticks and keep the offense on the field through much of the game. The issues are in large part the result of the team's ongoing struggles running the ball. Meanwhile, the rise of Davante Adams has cured some of the Packers' issues in the passing game.

The Panthers offense came alive last week, scoring in every quarter and overtime. The performance was enough to push Carolina from outside the top half of the league to No. 13 overall in total offense. Cam Newton seems over his rib injury, carrying the ball 17 times for more than 100 yards and a touchdown, his highest rushing output of the season. Also registering big days were pass catchers Greg Olsen (six catches, 62 yards, one touchdown) and Kelvin Benjamin (seven catches, 49 yards, one touchdown).

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers became the first player in NFL history to throw 15 or more touchdowns and only one or fewer interceptions through the first six games a season. Over that span, Rodgers has a passer rating of 111.4, second highest in the league. Meanwhile, Eddie Lacy's rough start continued last week. The reigning rookie of the year rushed for 40 yards on 14 carries -- a clip of just 2.9 yards.
