The Seattle Seahawks received a conditional sixth-round pick from the New York Jets in a trade involving wide receiver Percy Harvin that can improve to no better than a fourth-round pick, according to reports from Manish Mehta and Ian Rapoport of the New York Daily News and NFL Network, respectively. The team was so desperate to rid itself of Harvin, that the team likely would have released him if there were no takers, according to Sports Illustrated's Peter King.
Seahawks will receive conditional sixth-round pick for Percy Harvin, according to report
A year and a half after giving up three draft picks for Percy Harvin, the Seahawks shipped off the receiver for minimal compensation.

Instead the Seahawks were able to find minimal compensation from the Jets for Harvin, although the conditional sixth round pick pales in comparison to the deal that sent the receiver from the Minnesota Vikings to Seattle. Harvin was traded to the Seahawks in March 2013 for first-, third- and seventh-round picks which were used to select Xavier Rhodes, Travis Bond and Jerick McKinnon.
Seattle reportedly spent a few weeks trying to find a trade partner for a deal involving Harvin and contacted more than just the Jets. Other teams contacted, according to Rapoport, included the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, although it was the Jets that "had the best deal" for Harvin.
Harvin appeared in six total regular season games with the Seahawks and tallied 23 receptions for 150 yards. He also tallied four receptions during Seattle’s Super Bowl-winning run in the postseason.
