Peyton Manning is now the NFL's all-time leader with 509 career touchdown passes after finding Demaryius Thomas for a 8-yard score against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Manning broke Brett Favre's record of 508, and in the process gave the Denver Broncos a 21-3 lead just before halftime.
Peyton Manning breaks Brett Favre’s career passing touchdown record
Peyton Manning is now the NFL’s all-time career passing touchdown leader after throwing his third touchdown of the game against the 49ers.

Following pass interference in the end zone, an incomplete pass and a sack, Manning and Thomas were able to connect on third down for the record. Thomas did well on his part, securing the ball and getting both feet in bounds right along the sideline.

Manning needed three touchdown passes entering Week 7. He tied the record with his second touchdown pass of the game in the first quarter, a 39-yard score to Wes Welker, and eclipsed it in the final minutes of the first half. Against a stout 49ers defense, Manning is 13-of-16 passing for 177 yards and no interceptions.
Manning now has 18 touchdown passes through six games, which still somehow puts him behind last year's pace when he had 22 before going on to set the single-season passing touchdown record of 55. He was still tied for the second most passing touchdowns entering the weekend behind only Andrew Luck, who has played an extra game.
In addition to the single-season and career touchdown marks, Manning also holds the record for the most passing yards in a season, throwing for 5,477 yards in 2013. He is still over 5,000 yards short of Favre’s career passing yards record, which he would have to wait until next season to break.
