Barring injury, Teddy Bridgewater and Aaron Rodgers will face each other for the first of perhaps many times in their careers on Thursday night, when the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers meet at Lambeau Field. Bridgewater is nursing an ankle injury and is officially listed as questionable. If he starts, it will be his first game against an NFC North opponent and he'll be thrown right into one of the better rivalries in the NFL. Not to mention the fact he'll be on the road at Lambeau Field playing on a short week with an injury and in a prime time game. Welcome to the NFL, rookie.

All time, Minnesota is 48-55-2 against Green Bay. Green Bay has held a significant advantage recently, with Minnesota winning just once since 2010. The win was significant though, vaulting the Vikings into the playoffs in 2012 on the last day of the regular season. However, Minnesota was beaten the following week in the Wild Card round ... by the Packers. The teams tied the last time they were on the field, a back-and-forth Week 12 game that Aaron Rodgers missed.
The Vikings are 2-2 and have an opportunity to put themselves in a nice position with a win over their rival. Minnesota was picked almost universally to finish last in the NFC North, but suddenly has a chance to make noise behind a potent rushing attack in Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon, as well as the potentially exciting play of Bridgewater. The Vikings play the Packers and Detroit Lions in each of their next two games before a stretch against the Bills, Buccaneers and Washington.
Green Bay finally looked like the team most expected to see coming into the season, trouncing the Bears with a 38-point explosion to even its record at 2-2. The Packers trail the Lions by a game but have a chance to get going with the struggling Dolphins and Panthers after Thursday night. A key to the Packers making a run will be the rushing attack, which sits 28th in the NFL at 73 yards per game. Rodgers will garner most of the attention, but getting Eddie Lacy going would be a good sign for Green Bay.
