The Buffalo Bills will attempt to stay in the race for the AFC East title when they travel to New York Sunday to take on the floundering Jets. Rex Ryan and his crew haven't won a game since their season opener against the still-winless Oakland Raiders.

Buffalo has been revitalized since head coach Doug Marrone made the switch to journeyman Kyle Orton as starting quarterback. In his three starts, Orton has played with considerably more efficiency than his predecessor, EJ Manuel. However, the Bills are suddenly without their top two rushers, with C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson both suffering serious injuries last week.

The Jets know their season is over, and with it likely the end of the line for the current coaching staff. Still, the team looks to figure out whether Geno Smith is the long-term answer at quarterback. Though his performance has varied wildly week to week, he possesses the athleticism and arm talent to challenge good defenses such as Buffalo's.

With Spiller and Jackson sidelined, Anthony Dixon takes over as the Bills' No. 1 tailback. On the season, Dixon has 27 carries for 137 yards. Supplementing him will be Bryce Brown, a talented runner acquired from Philadelphia this offseason. Brown has yet to register a single carry in 2014.

As for the Jets, their offense revolves around their ground game. Chris Ivory has played well this year, collecting 432 yards at a clip of 4.9. Joining him is former Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Johnson no longer possesses his sprinter's speed, but he still can move the rock, averaging over 4 yards per carry.
