No team has been more surprising this season than the Dallas Cowboys. Expected to be an afterthought, Dallas is riding a six-game winning streak and leading the NFC East by a half-game over the Philadelphia Eagles. On Monday night, the Cowboys host Washington, a franchise which has mostly been a series of disappointments this century.
Washington vs. Cowboys 2014 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
Once a top rivalry in the NFL, the matchup between Dallas and Washington has been lacking in recent years.

Dallas is led by perhaps the best offensive line in football. The Cowboys invested heavily in the line over the last few years, taking Zack Martin, Tyron Smith and Travis Frederick in the first round. Behind them, DeMarco Murray has set a record by starting the campaign with seven consecutive 100-yard games. Murray leads the league with 913 rushing yards, 298 better than the next man, Arian Foster. Murray has plenty of help around him with Tony Romo throwing to Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten. All of this combines to leave Dallas fifth in scoring at 28 points per game.
Washington is a mess offensively, down to its third-string quarterback. First-year coach Jay Gruden pulled Kirk Cousins at halftime against the Tennessee Titans last week and inserted Colt McCoy, who was able to earn the win. McCoy will make his first start with Washington after going 11-of-12 for 128 yards and one touchdown last week, while Robert Griffin inches closer to a return from his ankle injury.
At 2-5, Washington desperately needs a victory if it wants to stay relevant in the NFC playoff picture. The upcoming schedule is favorable, with the Vikings and Buccaneers up next.
