Jadeveon Clowney's long-awaited return to the Houston Texans lineup looks to be short-lived. Coach Bill O'Brien said an illness will most likely keep the star rookie from playing this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Tania Ganguli.
Jadeveon Clowney not expected to play due to illness
The star rookie is likely on the shelf a week after returning from a six-game injury absence.

“I don’t know,” O’Brien told the team’s website. “I wouldn’t say it looks very good for him to play Sunday.”
Clowney is officially listed as questionable and, according to O’Brien, will be a game-time decision.
The good news is that there's been no setback to the knee injury that sidelined Clowney for six games games. He suffered a torn meniscus in the season opener and had just returned to the field last week against the Tennessee Titans. SB Nation analyst and former NFL linemen Stephen White noted that Clowney looked out of shape in his return.
Given that the team is on bye next week, it seems safe to assume he’ll be able to make the trip to Cleveland in Week 11.
