Former NFL great Randy Moss spent his final season in the league with the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 under second-year head coach Jim Harbaugh. The wide receiver had some harsh words for his former coach Sunday, alleging the same coaching tactics used at Stanford did not go over quite as well with the 49ers.

— P. Schrager (@PSchrags) October 5, 2014 Harbaugh was hired by San Francisco in 2011 after establishing Stanford as one of the top college programs in the country. He posted a 29-21 record in four years with the Cardinal, after going 29-6 in three years with FCS San Diego.
Jim Harbaugh's Future
If Moss’s comments are true, they don’t seem to have had much of an impact on the field. Harbaugh’s 49ers have made three straight NFC Championship Games, losing to the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.
A return to the college game is not out of the question for Harbaugh -- he and his brother John (currently head coach of the Ravens) have both been tied to the job at Michigan, where Jim played quarterback. Brady Hoke remains the head coach of the Wolverines after a 2-4 start and mounting criticisms of the team’s handling of a player’s concussion.
