Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson hobbled off the field with an ankle injury against the Buffalo Bills and is questionable to return, the team has announced.
Calvin Johnson aggravates ankle injury, leaves game
Johnson’s bum ankle has flared up again and he’s questionable to return.

Detroit News beat writer Josh Katzenstein expects we’ve seen the last of Johnson today:
Calvin Johnson holding his helmet on the sideline at the start of this drive. Imagine he's done for the day. #Lions
— Josh Katzenstein (@jkatzenstein) October 5, 2014 Johnson missed practice earlier this week because of an ankle injury and it seems as though he aggravated it in the second quarter. He came up limp after a reception was seen on the sideline holding his helmet to begin the Lions next drive. He was then taken back into the locker room.
The injury seemed to be hampering the star wideout even before the aggravation. He had zero targets in the first half and just one reception for seven yards before leaving. Golden Tate has helped pick up the slack, making four receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
