Kirk Cousins threw four interceptions against the New York Giants last week ... now he gets to go up against the Seahawks' secondary. Cousins and 1-3 Washington are off to Seattle to take on Richard Sherman and the Legion of Boom for Monday Night Football, and things could get ugly if the quarterback struggles.

Can Kirk Cousins bounce back from a nightmare game against the Giants and restore faith in the nation’s capital?

Washington was hoping that Robert Griffin III's ankle injury would be offset by the rise of Cousins, the 2012 fourth-round pick who's been rumored to be head coach Jay Gruden's preference under center. But after a spectacular outing in relief of RGIII against the Eagles (427 yards, three touchdowns), Cousins fell flat in his start against the Giants.
That's not to say you should expect a shutdown of the Washington offense. After all, the vaunted Seahawks defense has pulled down just two interceptions through three games and is ranked a mediocre 19th in passing yards allowed per game (249). DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon give Cousins dangerous threats on the outside, and Alfred Morris balances the attack by providing one of the league's most consistent rushing threats.
Speaking of Jackson, he will likely find himself looking across at Sherman at times during the game -- the two were childhood friends growing up in Los Angeles and even played on the same little league baseball team.
