Tom Brady responded to his critics with a big game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night, then took the time to dismiss rumors of a falling out with his coaches.
Tom Brady says he ‘never had any tension’ with coaches
Brady called reports that he was upset with the Patriots coaching staff “unfortunate” in the wake of a huge Sunday night win.

After throwing for 292 yards and two touchdowns in the New England Patriots' blowout win over the previously undefeated Bengals, Brady denied a recent report that personnel changes and a decreasing input in the offensive game plan had him "uncomfortable" with the coaching staff, according to ESPN's Jackie McMullan.
“I love all those guys, my coaches,” Brady said. “I’ve never had any tension with them, truthfully. It’s unfortunate that some things get said and talked about, especially when they don’t come from me, and I think that’s the -- when you’re in the middle of an especially tough week with our team to deal with things that are really outside football that are very personal -- very personal relationships that I’ve built up for a long time.”
The Patriots were run off the field in a blowout loss in Kansas City last week, fueling heavy criticism of the Patriots offense and talk that Brady was past his prime. But a much improved offensive line and a 100-yard game from Rob Gronkowski -- his first since last December -- helped turn things around against the Bengals. Gronkowski told Boston.com after the game that he was determined to help his quarterback return to form.
“I told my brother before I came to the game, ‘I’m gonna make 12 look like Tom Brady again, baby,’” Gronkowski said. “And I went out there with my teammates and we made Tom Brady look like Tom Brady after you guys were criticizing him all week. The fans, everything. And it feels so good and he’s such a leader and he went over 50,000 yards today. He’s an unbelievable player and I’m so glad to play with him.”
