The parade of kickers continues for the Detroit Lions, who released Alex Henery Monday morning after another shaky performance.
Lions release Alex Henery, move on to 3rd kicker in 5 weeks
Another bad day for a Lions kicker leads to the team making its second change at the position since opening week.

After going 1-for-2 on field goal attempts in his Lions debut against the New York Jets, Henery missed on all three of his kicks Sunday in climate-controlled Ford Field. In large part because of his struggles, the Buffalo Bills emerged with a 17-14 victory.
Henery was signed to replace Nate Freese, Detroit's opening day kicker who missed over half of his seven field goal attempts. Now in search of a third kicker just over five weeks into the season, head coach Jim Caldwell isn't being picky. According to Kyle Meinke of MLive, Caldwell isn't concerned whether the kicker is a veteran or rookie, so long as the team finds "a guy who performs." Detroit has scheduled a kicker workout for Tuesday to find Henery's replacement. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that Jay Feely is among those trying out for the team, while ESPN's Adam Schefter says Matt Prater will join him.
The Lions' record stands at 3-2, tied with the Green Bay Packers for best in the division.
