Keith Olbermann resumed his favorite hobby of roasting Roger Goodell on his ESPN show Olbermann, saying the much-maligned NFL commissioner has yet another PR problem on his hands. This time, the issue surrounds San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald, a player who was arrested for domestic violence earlier this year but remains active for the team on game days.
Keith Olbermann: ‘Roger Goodell has another problem on his hands’ regarding Ray McDonald
The ESPN anchor continues to roast embattled NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
After quoting Goodell’s own words that the league needs to do better next time the issue of domestic violence rears its head, Olbermann stated emphatically, “This is next time.” Olbermann’s critique centers on McDonald calling on a team security staffer when a problem arose rather than calling police. Olbermann added, “How did McDonald know to call [head of 49ers security]? How did he have his phone number? Could McDonald have called the 49ers first and someone with the 49ers had told McDonald to call that officer?” If it comes to light that the team tried to cover up the incident, there could be even more fire under the seat of Goodell and others.
