The Arizona Cardinals might be starting third-string quarterback Logan Thomas against Washington on Sunday, and they are alright with it.
Bruce Arians ‘comfortable’ with Logan Thomas as starting quarterback
Arizona is banged up under center, perhaps leading to its third starting quarterback in five games.

Head coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday that Thomas has a real chance of playing with Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton recovering from a nerve injury and a concussion, respectively. Thomas played last week in Denver following Stanton's departure in the second half.
Thomas, a fourth-round pick in May's draft out of Virginia Tech, completed only one of eight passes in Denver for 81 yards and a touchdown. Arians stated he believes either Stanton or Palmer could be ready to play this weekend, but admitted there was a "good chance" Thomas would be the man. Should Palmer and Stanton be unavailable, the Cardinals will bring in another quarterback to back up Thomas. Some names that have surfaced are Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon, both of whom are familiar with Arians' offense from Pittsburgh.
At 3-1, the Cardinals are tied atop the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks while leading the San Francisco 49ers by a half-game. Palmer has not played since beating the San Diego Chargers in Week 1 when he injured a nerve in his shoulder. Stanton led Arizona to wins over the New York Giants and 49ers before sustaining a concussion in the 41-20 loss to the Broncos.
