The ‘Thursday Night Football’ curse almost struck Colts-Texans
It looked like we’d have another Thursday Night Football horror show before a massive Texans rally.

There has not been a single good Thursday Night Football game this year. In six weeks, the closest two games were Seahawks-Packers and Ravens-Steelers, each of which were 20-point blowouts. We've seen Atlanta score 56 points. We've seen the Giants and Packers put up 45 and 42. We have not seen a single good game.
But we were due, right? Two divisional rivals with winning records, battling it out! This game has to be good, right? Right?
RIGHT?!?!?!?!
At the end of the first quarter, the Colts lead, 24-0. T.Y. Hilton had 147 yards receiving. The Texans had 2 yards ... total. On three drives! Did Arian Foster have foresight when he ripped Thursday Night Football.
Then everything got better: The Texans rallied -- Arian Foster got in the end zone twice, two turnovers led to two quick Houston scores, one a J.J. Watt fumble recovery to make it a one-possession game -- and we had a 33-28 final scoreline, the closest of the year. You scared us for a minute there, Thursday Night Football.
