Arian Foster, Ronnie Hillman headline NFL Week 11 injury report

There are several big-name running backs either missing this week or making their return from injury.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Texans listed running back Arian Foster as questionable heading into their Week 11 matchup with the Browns. However, reports out of Houston indicate Foster will miss the game while dealing with a lingering groin injury.

Foster has rushed 161 times for 822 yards with seven scores. The running back suffered a groin injury in Houston’s Week 9 loss to Philadelphia. There was some thought Foster would be fine after the team’s bye, but he was limited on practice Friday after missing the previous two days of work due to the injury.

Broncos RBs Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball

The Broncos' crowded backfield will be a little less in flux this week when running back Montee Ball returns, while Ronnie Hillman has been declared out against the Rams.

Hillman, who took over the top spot on the depth chart from Ball during the latter's absence with a groin injury, has been ruled out for Sunday's game with a foot injury. Hillman is expected to miss two weeks with the injury suffered last Sunday against the Raiders

As for Ball, he returns from a groin injury that’s cost him a month of action. He’ll likely get the bulk of the touches against the Rams.

Bengals RB Giovani Bernard

The Bengals have ruled out starting running back Giovani Bernard against the Saints. Bernard, who has missed the past two games with a hip and clavicle injury, will once again be held out. He has rushed 109 times for 446 yards and five touchdowns to go with 22 catches for 179 yards this season.

The Bengals will be relying heavily on rookie Jeremy Hill, who will be making his third start, to get the ground game going against the Saints.

Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict

The Bengals will be without Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict this week when the team travels to New Orleans. This will be the fifth games he’s missed this year and the third because of a knee scope he received following the team’s Week 8 win over Baltimore. After leading the team in tackles for two consecutive seasons, he’s notched only 29 tackles this year in five games.

Texans LBs Brian Cushing and Jadeveon Clowney

It looks like the Texans will have linebackers Jadeveon Clowney and Brian Cushing back this week when they head to Cleveland to take on the Browns. Both players have dealt with knee injuries this year, but both were listed as “probable” on the team’s final injury report.

Cushing has registered 50 tackles in seven games this year, while Clowney has just two tackles in two games in what’s been a disappointing start for the No. 1 overall pick from May’s NFL Draft.

Giants RB Rashad Jennings

The Giants expect to have their starting running back this week against the 49ers. Rashad Jennings is set to return from a sprained MCL he suffered in Week 5. The Giants listed Jennings as "probable" to play against San Francisco.

Jennings has 91 carries for 396 yards and two scores in five games this year. He'll likely split carries with rookie Andre Williams as he works his way back into full game shape.

Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph

The Vikings should finally have their No. 1 tight end back with Kyle Rudolph being listed as "probable" for Week 11 against the Bears. Rudolph, who underwent sports hernia surgery, is expected to be back in the lineup after being out for more than a month.

The 25-year-old Rudolph hauled in 10 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ first three games before leaving the lineup. He’ll be a welcome addition for rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Bears WR Brandon Marshall

Chicago should be fairly healthy when the Bears try to end a three-game skid this week when the Vikings come to town. Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall is listed as "probable" on the team's final injury report, which means he'll probably suit up Sunday while battling an ankle injury.

Marshall has caught 42 passes for 496 yards and six touchdowns this year for a Bears squad that has been among the NFL’s most disappointing.

Bears TE Martellus Bennett

The Bears should have their top tight end this week. Martellus Bennett is listed as "probable" as he continues to battle a rib injury that had him listed as "questionable" last week, but he ultimately played against the Packers.

Bennett has 49 catches for 562 yards and five touchdowns this season. He has been one of the few bright spots for a Bears team that has lost five of its last six games.
