The Chicago Bears return home to Soldier Field Sunday, hosting the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North tilt. In reality, playing in Chicago might be an advantage for Minnesota. The Bears, who came into the season with high hopes for a playoff berth, have crashed to earth with three straight losses, including a humiliating 55-14 defeat against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10. Needless to say, the natives are not happy or patient.

Minnesota looks to climb toward a playoff spot while Chicago simply looks for a better effort.

In his second year as head coach, Marc Trestman has seen his team regress with horrific defense and a listless offense. Jay Cutler, who was signed to a seven-year, $126 million extension in January, has disappointed. Cutler has 18 touchdowns but also 10 interceptions despite having two massive targets in Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. The defense has been a complete abomination, allowing a league-worst 30.8 points per game.
Minnesota is coming off its bye week and still has life in the NFC playoff picture. Despite battling adversity, which includes having to start three different quarterbacks, the Vikings are 4-5 and have a chance to climb back to .500. Most importantly, Minnesota has a three-game homestand following its date with the Bears, hosting the Packers, Panthers and Jets.
Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has battled through ups and downs, but enjoys a 3-2 record as a starter. Bridgewater has tossed just three touchdowns against five picks, but has completed a respectable 60.4 percent of his passes. In his last two games, Bridgewater is without an interception and has a Total QBR of 71.8 in those starts.
