Retirement isn't far for Peyton Manning, but the Denver Broncos expect the 13-time Pro Bowl quarterback to play for them again in 2015, as he wants to take down every major passing record in NFL history before hanging up his cleats.
Peyton Manning wants to own all the NFL’s records
Manning is approaching the records for most career yards and wins, but would need another season to reach those marks.

Manning has fewer than 4,000 yards left to accumulate before he takes down Brett Favre’s all-time record for passing yards, and he enters Week 11 of the 2014 season just 12 wins behind Favre’s career mark of 186 victories as a starter. With one more season, he would have a good chance at eclipsing both marks, and that’s what the Broncos expect Manning to try to accomplish, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
There is one possible caveat for Manning's career continuing in 2015: the 38-year-old quarterback may want to end his career as a champion if the Broncos are able to win a Super Bowl this season, according to Rapoport. For all the records and accolades Manning has accumulated in his career, he has just one Super Bowl ring. This keeps him off the list of quarterbacks with multiple Super Bowl victories -- a list that includes Tom Brady and Eli Manning.
In October, Manning took down one of the most prestigious NFL records when he threw his 509th career touchdown pass, breaking the mark of 508 set by Favre.
