Duron Carter, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter, is drawing plenty of NFL interest after finding success in the Canadian Football League. Duron, 23, is being tracked by more than 10 NFL teams, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, including the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, although it's the Indianapolis Colts that are considered the favorites to land the formerly highly touted recruit.
Colts are frontrunners for Duron Carter
The son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter is drawing plenty of interest after two big seasons in the CFL.

Carter was one of the top wide receiver recruits in the nation before committing to his father’s alma mater, Ohio State, in 2009. He caught 13 passes for 176 yards as a true freshman, but was declared academically ineligible before the team’s trip to the Rose Bowl and never played another snap for Ohio State.
He eventually transferred to Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College and found success, but he never played at the FBS level again with stops at Alabama and Florida Atlantic. After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Carter joined the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, where the 6’5, 205-pound wideout has racked up 124 receptions for 1,939 yards and 12 touchdowns.
As per Carter’s contract with the Alouettes, he can’t begin negotiating with or working out for NFL teams until Dec. 1 and can’t sign officially a contract with a team until February, although agreeing to one before that point would be possible. His off-the-field immaturity may still be an issue for some teams, but his talent and pedigree will likely land him in the league next season.
