A fumble recovery touchdown for Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham is going to go in the books as a ... touchdown reception, according to announcers Greg Gumbel and Trent Green. Late in the first quarter against the New Orleans Saints, tight end Jermaine Gresham caught a pass near the 5-yard line and fumbled the ball while trying to extend for the touchdown.
Jermaine Gresham fumble recovery touchdown ruled a ... reception?
Jermaine Gresham recovered a fumble for a touchdown against the Saints. The stat sheet shows he caught a 12-yard touchdown pass.

Gresham wound up recovering the fumble in the end zone, resulting in a touchdown after a lengthy review. Early in the second quarter, Gumbel and Green said that the official word was that the play is going to be ruled a 12-yard touchdown reception for Gresham.
