Brandin Cooks placed on injured reserve
The Saints rookie broke his thumb against the Bengals on Sunday.

The Saints, who mustered just 10 points against the Bengals on Sunday, lose a rookie who had piled up 53 receptions, 550 yards and four touchdowns through 10 games. Only Jimmy Graham has contributed more to the Saints receiving corps. Cooks also serves as the team’s return man, fielding 10 punts and one kickoff this season.
The good news for the Saints is that they have plenty of talented pass catchers to help out while Cooks recovers. Expect to see more work from Marques Colston, who's taken a backseat to Cooks in 2014, and Kenny Stills, who scored the team's only touchdown on Sunday.
More concerning for the Saints at this point is the loss of safety Rafael Bush, who fractured his leg against the Bengals and is expected to be placed on injured reserve alongside Jairus Byrd.
