Montee Ball aggravated a groin injury against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday after undergoing an MRI on Monday and he's expected to be out for two or three weeks, according to the Denver Post's Mike Klis. The second-year running back hadn't played since first suffering the groin injury in Week 5, and he was in for just a couple of plays in Week 11 before limping off the field. He made an attempt to return to the game but left again after unsuccessfully attempting to make a catch out of the backfield.
Montee Ball out 2 to 3 weeks, per report
Montee Ball aggravated a groin injury in his first game back after missing five weeks.

During Ball's absence earlier in the year, the Broncos relied on Ronnie Hillman to shoulder the workload, but Hillman is expected to miss another game after suffering a foot injury and sitting out in Week 11. That leaves C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson as the rushing options for Denver when it hosts the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.
Ball, 23, tallied just 172 rushing yards on 55 attempts in the limited time he saw earlier in the year after accumulating 559 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie in 2013. Before being selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Ball set the all-time FBS record for rushing touchdowns; he racked up 77 over the span of four seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers, including 33 touchdowns as a junior in 2011.
