Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas injured his ankle Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, and after an MRI on Monday, he is considered day to day, according to the Denver Post's Mike Klis. However, his status for the Broncos' Week 12 matchup against the Miami Dolphins is still up the air.
Julius Thomas day to day with ankle injury
Denver’s top tight end sprained his ankle during Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams.

The tight end suffered the injury early in the first quarter Sunday while completing a 2-yard catch. Thomas had to leave the game and was immediately ruled questionable to return. The Broncos’ medical staff ruled him out at halftime. He finished the day with two receptions for 3 yards in Denver’s surprising 22-7 loss.
Thomas' injury was just one of several suffered by important skill position players on the Broncos' roster Sunday. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was diagnosed with a concussion after absorbing a violent hit the head. In the backfield, running back Montee Ball aggravated the groin injury that kept him out over a month earlier this season.
Thomas leads all NFL players with 12 touchdowns this season.
