After scratching out a tough road win in Carolina and needing to gain ground in the brutal NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks could use an easy game in Week 9. Enter the winless Oakland Raiders.

If you’re into carnage, this is the game for you.

The 0-7 Raiders aren't much more than lambs to the slaughter as they trip up the coast to Seattle, where the Seahawks have won 11 of their last 13 games. One of those losses did come in Week 6 of this season against Dallas, but the Raiders don't exactly have the offensive firepower of the Cowboys.
In fact, the Raiders are second to last in both offensive yards and points per game. Oakland failed to capitalize on massive cap room during the offseason and was left with mostly spare parts on offense. The addition of aging running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been almost unnoticeable, and a wide receiver group headlined by Packers castaway James Jones has been underwhelming. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr has shown promise but has had to fight through injuries and a lackluster supporting cast.
One of the Raiders' few strengths this season has been run defense, which could make for an interesting matchup against Marshawn Lynch and the run-heavy Seahawks. While Oakland ranks 26th in rushing yards allowed per game, that number is inflated by the fact that they've been playing from behind all season. In terms of yards per carry, they rank eighth best in the league with a 3.8 mark.
Still, Oakland stands little chance of making it out of CenturyLink Field with a win. If the Raiders cover the 16-point spread, it will be a surprise for most.
