Packers vs. Vikings 2014 picks and predictions: Clean sweep for Green Bay

Who would pick against Aaron Rodgers right now?

After two straight games of scoring over 50 points, the Green Bay Packers possess the league's highest-scoring offense. Their Week 12 opponents, the Minnesota Vikings, will have to get creative in order to avoid becoming their latest victims.

At 7-3, the Packers find themselves tied for first place in the NFC North and in position to move ahead of the struggling Detroit Lions. Aaron Rodgers has moved to the forefront of the MVP debate, throwing nine touchdowns against zero interceptions in his last two games alone. Green Bay's receivers have been nearly uncoverable during that span, with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb combining for 462 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Just as important, defensive coordinator Dom Capers has the defense playing its best football of the season. Against divisional opponents, the Packers yield only 15 points per game.

The Vikings are in the midst of the latest chapter in the Adrian Peterson saga. The NFL suspended the former MVP for the rest of the season following the completion of his child abuse scandal. Though Peterson is appealing, Minnesota must move forward as though they won't have his services. They'll rely on rookie Jerick McKinnon to carry the load on the ground. He leads the team with 98 carries for 484 rushing yards. Backing up McKinnon is bruising plodder Matt Asiata, who has recorded six rushing touchdowns but averages only 3.3 yards per attempt.

The experts are all in on the Packers this week. Every member of CBS Sports’ panel sided with them this week.

CBS Sports senior writer Pete Prisco had this to say about the game:

It’s Aaron Rodgers vs. Teddy Bridgewater. That’s a mismatch. Bridgewater is struggling, while Rodgers is flourishing. Rodgers hasn’t been as good on the road, but that won’t matter here. He is so hot right now that he continues to roll.

Likewise, here at SB Nation, all seven experts chose Green Bay.
