Quick, the NFL is giving out free admission to Monday Night Football! Tickets to the New York Jets-Buffalo Bills game, driven by record snowfall to Detroit's Ford Field, will be free, according to ESPN.
Tickets to Jets-Bills in Detroit will be free
Monday’s relocated game at Ford Field will be available free of charge first to season ticket holders, then to the general public.
Season ticket holders will have first dibs, with the remainder opening up to the general public. Tickets sold for the original game on Sunday in Buffalo will also be accepted.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Detroit Lions will also hold a 50/50 raffle on Monday night, with the proceeds benefitting American Red Cross of Western and Central New York Disaster Relief Fund.
The league opted earlier this week to relocate the game after Western New York was buried in up to seven feet of snow. With the Lions heading to New England to face the Patriots, their home stadium was open and available. A short trip from Buffalo and a domed field made Detroit an ideal location.
Meanwhile in Buffalo, the Bills are offering full refunds for fans who paid to watch the game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, though the team initially gave out the wrong phone number to receive the refund.
