No one had a better Sunday than Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton. He started the day at the hospital, where his wife gave birth to their daughter, Eugenia. With the Colts scheduled to play the Jaguars at 1 p.m., Hilton’s agent confirmed that Andrew Luck’s top target would be at Lucas Oil Stadium for their Week 12 game, and that he planned on scoring a touchdown.
Hilton did make it to the game, and he did score a touchdown -- celebrating in the end zone by cradling the ball in honor of his newborn daughter. He finished the game with that touchdown and a team-leading 122 yards receiving. Afterward, he struggled to get through his on-field interview with CBS because he was so emotional, saying he’d been up since 4 or 5 a.m. In between the tears, he managed to get out “I just wanted to give her my all, I played this game for her.”
It was an incredibly cool and moving moment, and probably as good an interview we’ll get this season.
