2015 NFL Draft order: Jags are No. 1, the NFC South is screwing things up again

A Raiders win and a Jaguars loss this week have put Jacksonville on top of the projected 2015 NFL Draft order.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL season is in its home stretch, and the 2015 NFL Draft order is taking shape. Following Sunday's early evening slate and yet another Jacksonville Jaguars loss, we have a top five that looks a little different than it did at this time last week. Because the Oakland Raiders scored their first win of the season Thursday, they gave up the No. 1 overall pick to the Jaguars, who have the same overall record but a worse strength of schedule. Rounding out the top five are the league's two-loss teams -- the Buccaneers, Titans and Jets.

The draft order below may change following Monday night's bout between the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. Currently, we have the Saints selecting in the No. 21 spot as the odds-on favorite to win the NFC South and sneak into the playoffs as the best of the NFL's worst division. If the Saints lose to the Ravens on Monday, however, the Atlanta Falcons would assume first place in the division courtesy of their stronger division record, giving them the draft spot at the tail of the this season's projected playoffs teams.

If we assume the Falcons as the NFC South winner, the Saints would fall down to the the No. 11 spot in the draft, selecting just after the St. Louis Rams.

Here’s the current projected 2015 NFL Draft order, compiled with help from Over The Cap.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-10)
2. Oakland Raiders (1-10)
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-9)
4. Tennessee Titans (2-9)
5. New York Jets (2-8)
6. Washington (3-8)
7. New York Giants (3-7)
8. Carolina Panthers (3-7-1)
9. Minnesota Vikings (4-7)
10. Atlanta Falcons (4-7)*
11. St. Louis Rams (4-7)
12. Houston Texans (5-6)
13. Chicago Bears (5-6)
14. Buffalo Bills (5-5)
15. Miami Dolphins (6-5)
16. Baltimore Ravens (6-4)
17. Cleveland Browns (7-4)
18. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4)
19. Detroit Lions (7-4)
20. San Diego Chargers (7-4)
21. New Orleans Saints (4-6)*
22. Indianapolis Colts (7-4)
23. Kansas City Chiefs (7-4)
24. San Francisco 49ers (7-4)
25. Seattle Seahawks (7-4)
26. Cincinnati Bengals (7-3-1)
27. Dallas Cowboys (7-3)
28. Philadelphia Eagles (8-3)
29. Green Bay Packers (8-3)
30. Denver Broncos (8-3)
31. New England Patriots (9-2)

*The Falcons and Saints change places, depending on the outcome of Monday night’s game. The NFC South is really bad, yo.
