Cleveland will be looking for its first divisional road win since 2008 when it visits the Cincinnati Bengals this Thursday night.
Cleveland was a 6-point road underdog at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com midweek. The Browns have played well this season, but Cincinnati’s strong play at home should put the Bengals over the top and lead the home team to a win and cover despite what the computer is predicting.
Expected to be one of the league’s bottom-dwellers this season, Cleveland has defied the doubters with a 5-3 SU and 4-3-1 ATS record through the first half of the season. But with a 1-2 SU and 1-1-1 ATS record on the road so far this season, the Browns will need to prove that they can win on the road down the stretch if they are going to compete for a playoff spot. Cleveland is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five road games overall.

The Bengals have bounced back nicely from an 0-2-1 SU and 0-3 ATS slump in October with a 2-0 SU and 1-0-1 ATS record over their last two games. Blowout road losses to New England and Indianapolis bring questions about whether or not the Bengals are a Super Bowl Contender or not, but a 5-2-1 SU and 4-3-1 ATS record including two wins over Baltimore suggest that the Bengals will at least be in the playoff picture.
Cincinnati is 12-2-1 ATS in its last 15 home games and 5-0 SU and ATS in its last five divisional home games.
The total has gone OVER in five of the last six games between Cleveland and Cincinnati and the OVER is 8-3 in Cincinnati’s last 11 home games. Thursday night’s total is set at 44 and Cincy’s Super Bowl odds are likely to shrink again with a loss to the Browns.
All four teams in the AFC North have a winning record this season as the division is completely up for grabs. This would be a tough game to call in Cleveland, but in Cincinnati the Bengals should take advantage of home field and earn a win and cover at -6.
