The Dallas Cowboys have lost two consecutive games and dropped out of first place in the NFC East, but received some good news on Thursday with quarterback Tony Romo back on the practice field, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Romo is on the field Thursday for Dallas, a good sign for Cowboys fans.

Romo was injured two weeks ago against Washington when he fractured two bones in his back, but returned in that contest. However, Romo missed last week's 28-17 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals.

— Todd Archer (@toddarcher) November 6, 2014 Owner/general manager Jerry Jones has plenty of faith in Romo, proclaiming he expects him to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London, according to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. Jones went on to say he believes Romo has five good years left in him, despite Romo being 34 years old and having a history of back injuries. In related news, Romo still has five years and $79 million remaining on his contract after the 2014-15 season.
If Romo can play Sunday, he would be a major upgrade over backup Brandon Weeden. Weeden struggled mightily against the Cardinals, completing 18-of-33 passes for 183 yards with a touchdowns and two interceptions. Romo has been terrific this season, throwing for 1,998 yards and 15 touchdowns with just six picks.
