Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett will play Sunday night against the arch rival Green Bay Packers. Bennett was listed as questionable due to a rib injury and was considered a game-time decision before being declared active.

Bennett hasn't sat out many games during his career, missing two apiece in 2009 and 2011. Through the Bears' first eight games, Bennett has caught 47 passes for 517 yards and five touchdowns, the best first half of the tight end's career. He's been especially important against the Packers, hauling in nine balls for 134 yards when he last saw them in Week 4. With Green Bay returning cornerback Sam Shields to help slow down receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, Bennett could once again play a large role for Chicago.
Should Bennett re-aggravate his rib injury during the game, veteran Dante Rosario could step in at tight end. Rosario joined the Bears this offseason as a free agent.
