‘Monday Night Football’ live stream 2014: How to watch Dolphins vs. Jets online
The New York Jets will put Geno Smith back in the starting lineup for a “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

The New York Jets will host the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, the first of two meetings in the final five weeks for the AFC East rivals. For the Dolphins, it's a must-win game to stay in the thick of an AFC wild card race that features five teams tied at 7-5 and Miami hoping to be the sixth.
At 2-9, the Jets' season is now nothing but a chance to be a spoiler and save jobs. One player who can go a long way toward saving his job is Jets quarterback Geno Smith, who is back in the starting lineup for New York after he was benched in Week 8. Following a 38-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills in which Michael Vick posted a 27.5 passer rating and was pulled in favor of Smith, the second-year quarterback will have a chance to regain the reins of an offense he was drafted to lead.
The focus for the Jets will be to avoid the turnovers that have defined Smith’s career so far. That could be an especially difficult task against the Dolphins, a team which ranks sixth in total defense and has forced multiple turnovers in six games this season.
On offense, the Dolphins have been much better running the ball than passing, as the team’s 4.7 yards per carry is the fifth-highest total in the NFL. With Ryan Tannehill leading the Miami passing attack, the Dolphins rank 23rd in passing yardage, but will likely have to find some success against a Jets defense that has allowed the most passing touchdowns in the NFL and the third-lowest rushing total.
Taking advantage of the Jets’ secondary is a must for the Dolphins if they hope to keep the pace in the AFC playoff picture.
