Percy Harvin's time with the New York Jets might be brief. The wide receiver could be on his way to free agency in 2015 if he doesn't take a pay cut. That, however, doesn't appear likely to happen, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Percy Harvin could hit free agency, per report
Harvin is due $10.5 million in 2015 and that could be too high of a price tag for the Jets.

There are still four years remaining on the $64.25 million extension Harvin received upon being traded to the Seattle Seahawks. That leaves the Jets on the hook for more than $41 million, including $10.5 million in 2015, which is a lot for a team that is 2-11 and in need of big changes.
The Jets can avoid giving that much to Harvin by releasing the receiver in the offseason or by asking him to take a pay cut, but that doesn’t appear to be a realistic proposition. If released, the 26-year-old receiver could sign with a team with a better quarterback and a system more suitable for his abilities.
In six games with the Jets, Harvin has 25 receptions for 306 yards and a touchdown, but suffered an ankle injury in Week 14. He is listed as questionable for a Week 15 game against the Tennessee Titans.
