T.Y. Hilton expected to play through hamstring injury

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was limited Sunday during the game against the Houston Texans with a hamstring injury. However, an MRI conducted Monday came back negative, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Hilton finished the game with the injured leg wrapped in ice, though that appears to have been precautionary. The injury didn't significantly affect his playing time -- Hilton played 59 of the team's 69 offensive snaps -- but he caught just four passes for 50 yards. Pagano said he hopes Hilton can return to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. If he can, the Colts will likely have their top receiver in the lineup when they take on the Dallas Cowboys, who are also hoping one of their top offensive weapons will be ready Sunday.

For the second consecutive year, Hilton will finish with over 1,000 yards receiving. He leads the Colts by a wide margin in both receptions (82) and yards (1,345), and is second on the team with seven touchdowns.

At 10-4, the Colts have secured the AFC South crown for the second straight season. But they are still playing for seeding, and their chances at a first-round bye are much better if quarterback Andrew Luck has his favorite target on the field.
