San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen suffered a broken collarbone and ankle injury in Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, and is not expected to play on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers. Allen was not placed on injured reserve, but it's hard to imagine at this point that he'll be healthy enough to contribute in the final two games of the regular season. The Chargers (8-6) are currently on the outside of the playoff picture, and likely need to beat the 49ers on Saturday and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17 to secure a postseason berth.

The second-year receiver was Philip Rivers' most dependable wideout this year, leading the Chargers in targets (115), receiving yards (783) and receptions (77), and he also caught four touchdowns. With Allen sidelined, Eddie Royal and Malcom Floyd will likely get most of the receiver snaps against San Francisco, and Seyi Ajirotutu will likely find more playing time.
Colt McCoy on IR
Washington quarterback Colt McCoy was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, officially ending his season after he aggravated a lingering neck injury on Sunday. Coach Jay Gruden named Robert Griffin III as the starter in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and Kirk Cousins will be his backup for Saturday's game.
McCoy was given the reins to Washington’s offense in Week 13 when Gruden benched an ineffective RG3. Though he put up respectable numbers over the last three games (64 percent completion percentage, 630 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions), Washington was winless and averaged just 16.7 points per game in those three starts.
Jags re-sign Roy Miller
The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed veteran nose tackle Roy Miller to a long-term extension on Tuesday, inking him to a four-year deal worth a little more than $16 million, according to Mark Long of the Associated Press. Miller was set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but had expressed interest in finishing his career with Jacksonville. Miller has started all 14 games for the Jaguars this season, with one sack and 21 tackles in 492 snaps.
’Not unrealistic’ that Murray will play
The Dallas Cowboys notched a huge win on Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, pushing them into first place in the NFC East and giving them control of their playoff destiny. However, the victory came with a big price -- running back DeMarco Murray suffered a broken bone in his hand late in the fourth quarter, and had surgery on Monday to repair it.
Despite the injury, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that "it's not unrealistic" Murray will be able to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
“We just want to take a look at it. We don’t know,” said Jones on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. “I’m not so sure how much can heal between now and Sunday.”
Murray will likely be a game-time decision, according to Jones. Even if he cannot go on Sunday, the Cowboys still have options in the backfield, with Lance Dunbar and Joseph Randle more than capable of handling the workload.
