The Chargers just need to win and they’re in, while Kansas City needs some help.

The San Diego Chargers were nearly eliminated a week ago in San Francisco, trailing by 21 points at halftime. Compounding the matter, the Chargers lost another center to injury, their fourth injury to the position this season. Yet the team prevailed behind a spirited effort by Philip Rivers. Rivers played with a bulging disk in his back but managed to throw for over 350 yards and four touchdowns. The comeback kept the Chargers' playoff hopes alive and put them in the driver's seat for the final wild card berth in the conference.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs have a much harder path to the postseason. In addition to beating San Diego, the Chiefs need the Baltimore Ravens to lose to the Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texans to drop their final game to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Still, the hardest part might be the game at hand. The Chiefs are 2-3 in the division.
The experts are understandably divided on the outcome of Chargers vs. Chiefs. It’s a 50/50 split for CBS Sports’ eight-man panel.
