NFL scores and results: Ravens clinch playoff berth with win

Thanks to a Chargers loss and a win over the Browns, Baltimore has snuck into the final AFC wild card spot.

The Baltimore Ravens are going back to the playoffs. Joe Flacco and Co. scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Cleveland Browns. Their win, along with a San Diego Chargers’ loss to the Chiefs, clinched the sixth and final spot in the AFC playoff seeding for the Ravens.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off a big win over Washington. Dallas’ already had a playoff berth locked up, but the win gives them a perfect 8-0 record on the road this season. Two of the last three teams to do that (2007 Patriots and the 1989 49ers) the made it all the way to Super Bowl.

The late afternoon games were where it really got interesting. The Panthers ran over the Falcons to win a win-or-go-home showdown to determine the NFC South and the last open playoff spot on that side of the bracket. In the NFC North, the Packers beat the Lions in Lambeau for the conference’s No. 2 seed. In addition, Seattle clinched the NFC West with a win over St. Louis and will lock down the No. 1 seed.
