Dez Bryant doesn’t care what you think about his sideline rants

The emotional wideout brushed off his latest sideline outburst, saying he doesn’t “give a **** who films it.”

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Dez Bryant's tendency for emotional sideline outbursts are well documented -- and redundantly criticized -- by now. Every time the Dallas Cowboys' wideout flies into one of his emotional outbursts, like he did Thursday night as his team was bludgeoning the helpless Chicago Bears, the media pounces on it.

That’s just fine with Bryant.

“I don’t give a [expletive] who films it. That’s the truth,” the impassioned wideout told The Dallas Morning News after reeling in six receptions for 82 yards in the Cowboys’ 41-28 win.

“[Expletive] no, I do not care,” Bryant replied when asked if he cares how his antics come across on TV. “Because I know I’m not doing anything wrong. They don’t know what’s going on. I can’t care less. They ain’t on no sidelines. Nobody’s on the sidelines with us.

“The only thing they’re waiting for us to do is take an L so they can talk a bunch of [expletive] about us. ‘Oh, the same old Cowboys in December.’ C’mon, man. Ain’t none of that. We’re going to take advantage of what we need to take advantage of.”

Bryant expounded on Twitter afterwards.

While most interpret Bryant’s passion for anger, that’s not always the case.

“He’s a teddy bear,” team owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM] after the game. “I’m going to tell you one thing, he’s got a passion. There’s just no stopping it. You just can’t calm him down when he gets going. He uses a lot of energy doing that.

“That’s his passion. And this team uses some of that passion. It’s not a negative thing.”
