On the Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday, the NFL will throw its third annual NFL Honors award ceremony. The star-studded two-hour special, hosted by Alec Baldwin from Radio City Music Hall in New York, will hand out a host of honors, including league MVP, Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year.

The show begins at 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 1 and will be broadcast on FOX. The NFL Network will air a red carpet event beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Denver's Peyton Manning looks to be a lock for the AP Most Valuable Player after putting together arguably the best season an NFL quarterback has ever had. At 37 years old, Manning broke both the passing touchdown and passing yards records while helping the Broncos become the first team in league history to score more than 600 points in a season.

The AP Coach of the Year is not as clear-cut. Pete Carroll is a strong candidate after leading the Seattle Seahawks to a 13-3 record and a trip to the Super Bowl. Bill Belichick -- who managed to get New England back to the AFC Championship with a makeshift group of offensive skill players -- is another deserving option, as is Andy Reid, whose arrival in Kansas City spurred a nine-win improvement over last season.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is the likely favorite for the top offensive rookie honor, though San Diego Chargers wideout Keenan Allen could give him a run for his money.

Here’s the complete list of awards that will be handed out:

  • AP Most Valuable Player
  • AP Coach of the Year
  • AP Offensive Player of the Year
  • AP Defensive Player of the Year
  • Pepsi NEXT Rookie of the Year
  • AP Offensive Rookie of the Year
