Browns hire Bill Kuharich as assistant GM

The Browns continued their front office shakeup on Tuesday, hiring Bill Kuharich to serve as the assistant to Ray Farmer.

The Cleveland Browns are bringing in some help for new general manager Ray Farmer. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns hired Bill Kuharich as an assistant to Farmer.

Kuharich is a former vice president of player personnel for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2006-08, being promoted from his pro personnel director position. Before his Chiefs tenure, he worked with the New Orleans Saints for 14 years in various positions. Kuharich and Farmer worked together at Kansas City.

The Browns unexpectedly overhauled their front office on Tuesday, firing Michael Lombardi and Joe Banner after just one year with the team. This comes a month after they let head coach Rob Chudzkinsi go, another one-and-done boss. Cleveland has another rebuild ahead of them as the front office starts over from scratch yet again. Kuharich has decades of personnel experience and is familiar with Farmer. That experience should be a boost to the Browns with the NFL Draft just three months away.
