NFL Combine 2014: Press conference schedule

Later this week, all 32 teams will arrive at Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct business at the NFL Combine. They will also be holding court at the podium.

Every year since 1982, the NFL has held a combine to help every front office determine which players are worth high draft picks and which deserve to slide. Back then, media didn't care much for the event, nor the NFL Draft itself. Both were just things on the NFL calendar that came and went as part of the offseason.

Now, it’s near impossible not to know that the combine starts this week, with this year’s edition set to feature 335 players in Indianapolis. All 32 teams will have a bevy of representation, including scouts, coaches and general managers.

Every organization enters with a plan, looking for players to pass its criteria both on the field and during 15-minute private interviews. All of this to determine who might be selected in the first round and become an instant millionaire, or who drops to the third or later and struggles for attention.

Starting on Thursday, we will get more insight into what each team is thinking with the beginning of press conferences for team officials.

One name missing is Joe Philbin, head coach of the embattled Miami Dolphins. This could be nothing, or a story that explodes at the combine. Stay tuned.
