Broncos injury report for Super Bowl 2014: Knowshon Moreno listed as probable

Denver comes into the Super Bowl missing two of its best players, but that is nothing new.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos arrived for Super Bowl XLVIII knowing that two of their best players would be watching from the sidelines. Offensive tackle Ryan Clady and outside linebacker Von Miller are both out and have been for quite some time.

Clady was injured all the back in Week 2, at MetLife Stadium no less, with a Lisfranc foot ailment that put him on injured reserve. Miller tore his ACL in Week 16 against the Houston Texans, also ending his season.

On the positive side, there were no significant injuries that hammered the Broncos in the playoffs outside of cornerback Chris Harris, who tore his ACL against the San Diego Chargers in the Divisional round. Without Harris, Champ Bailey's role increased alongside Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Former starting safety Rahim Moore (leg) and defensive tackle Derek Wolfe (seizure) are also listed as out.

Running back Knowshon Moreno (rib), defensive tackle Terrance Knighton (knee) and corner Tony Carter (shoulder) are all listed as probable and will play barring a major setback. Defensive tackle Sione Fua is likely out, listed as doubtful after missing practice on Friday with a calf issue.

Here is the injury report in full:

Probable: CB Tony Carter (shoulder), TE Joel Dreessen (knee), DT Terrance Knighton (knee), G Chris Kuper (ankle), QB Peyton Manning (ankle), RB Knowshon Moreno (ribs), K Matt Prater (illness), DT Mitch Unrein (knee), CB Kayvon Webster (thumb)

Doubtful: DT Sione Fua (calf)
