Jace Amaro and Eric Ebron are the favorites to be the first tight ends taken in the 2014 NFL Draft. Which player gets taken first is up for debate, however. Those looking for an answer based on their pure physical dimensions will be severely disappointed. Thursday's weigh-in for tight ends at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis did little to distinguish the two players.
NFL Combine 2014: Weigh-in results for tight ends
Jace Amaro and Eric Ebron are the near-consensus top tight ends in the 2014 NFL Draft. See how they measured up to one another during weigh-ins at the Combine on Thursday.

Amaro was already believed to have the better frame, and he proved it by measuring in at 6’5, 265 pounds with 34” arms. Ebron was a hair smaller at 6’4, 250 with 33 1/4” arms. His hands were significantly bigger than Amaro’s, however, lending credence to those who think he’ll be a better pass catcher. Amaro tied for the smallest hands at his position at 9” with Wisconsin’s Jacob Pedersen.
Or the numbers could be relatively meaningless, given that the players will be running through position drills in a few days. In the meantime, however, you can ogle the numbers to your heart’s content down below.
