Khalil Mack and Anthony Barr are dueling to be the first linebacker off the board in the 2014 NFL Draft and the pair stayed even during the Combine on Monday, as they put up similar numbers to one another.
2014 NFL Combine results: Khalil Mack, Anthony Barr post identical numbers
Khalil Mack and Anthony Barr put up identical numbers in the 40-yard dash.

In the 40 yard dash, the pair essentially posted identical times, as they each unofficially posted 4.66 on their first run. On the second run, Mack edged Barr by a hundredth of a second with a 4.62 compared to Barr’s 4.63. The official times kept that margin, although it was a 4.65 for Mack and a 4.66 for Barr.
Those weren’t close to the top numbers though, as Florida State’s Telvin Smith and Boston College’s Kevin Pierre-Louis posted 4.51 and 4.52 40-yard dash times, respectively.
Jordan Zumwalt of UCLA offered the most entertaining run of the day, racking up the cussing stats and making sure everyone knew he “wasn’t happy with that one.”
In his second run, Zumwalt was just a couple hundredths slower than the first time around, but kept it clean and swear-free.
Rounding out the rest of the notable appearances, was one from the lead singer of Poison...or wait, no that’s just Tyler Starr of South Dakota.

— SI_DougFarrar (@SI_DougFarrar) February 24, 2014 Kyle Van Noy of BYU also had a relatively strong showing in the Combine and there’s no question he was laying it all on the line. On one of the positional drills he made a diving attempt at a catch and went sliding directly into a camera on the sideline:
Considering a camera man was already kicked out of the Combine for getting in the way, maybe everyone should go ahead and take two steps back if they’re on the sideline.
