Seattle DC Dan Quinn had interest in Browns coaching job

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn was interested in the Cleveland Browns head coaching position, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Quinn had drawn interest from multiple teams including the Browns, who ended up settling on Mike Pettine as their new head coach. Of course, it could be worse for Quinn, who stymied Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos to the tune of eight points in a 43-8 romp in Super Bowl XLVIII.

With Quinn calling the defense, the Seahawks became one of the league's top defenses since his arrival in 2009, helped out by the talents of men like Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Chris Clemons and others. This season, Seattle was the top-ranked defense and shut down the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers in the postseason.
