The Houston Texans have drafted Vanderbilt cornerback Andre Hal with the first pick in the seventh round in the 2014 NFL Draft. Hal was ranked No. 105 among prospects on SB Nation's top 200 big board and No. 11 among all cornerbacks.
NFL Draft results 2014: Andre Hal goes to Texans
The Texans open the 7th round with the Vandy cornerback.

Hal earned second-team All-SEC honors the past two seasons with Vanderbilt. He was named a full-time starter as a junior, after spending the first two years with the school as a depth player behind Casey Hayward. He had 49 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 15 passes defended and three interceptions in 2013.
Hal doesn’t have the physical tools to get scouts excited, but he’s shown excellent awareness and is aggressive with the ball in the air. He has the look of a starter, but he’ll need some coaching before he gets to that point at the next level.
